As founding principal of THE PITCHON DESIGN GROUP, Alina has put together a group of professionals she has collaborated with throughout her more than 20 years of experience in the design field; professionals whom she trusts to put forward the optimum design experience for our clients.
With a Master's of Architecture degree from The Columbia Graduate School of Architecture and Planning, Alina has had the privilege of working with I.M. Pei & Partners, Costas Kondylis and Partners and Gal Nauer Architects. She has had a private practice in Connecticut since 1998.
Having worked on a variety of projects -- high-rise residential buildings, a 5-star resort and spa in Gdansk, Poland, The Plaza Las Vegas, The Plaza NYC, the first 350' building to be built in Stamford, CT (Trump Parc), a master plan and residential building for Doha, Qatar, as well as innovative private residences -- she brings a well-rounded and sound approach to any design issue. Due to the varied nature of her experience, Alina also has extensive experience with Planning and Zoning Boards, numerous developers and construction companies, structural and mechanical engineers as well as artists and talented tradespeople.
Her enthusiasm for creating beautiful structures that are a joy to behold and inhabit, her love of people, their stories and her ability to coordinate all participants of a project make her a natural choice as the design professional to put your trust in.
Megan Robertson is a second-generation builder — a second-generation female builder. Early architectural influences came from her mother, who chose a career in construction at a time when few women were going into the field, and few were welcomed there. We are very lucky, indeed, to be working together. Her attention to detail and her hearing what our clients are asking for are highly valued attributes.
“I grew up around construction,” said Robertson, of MLR Properties in Monroe, whose inspiration may also have come from her grandfather, who was a mason. Construction is still a male-dominated profession but that does not intimidate Robertson, who has been successful designing and building houses on speculation in Fairfield County — including several in Westport, and beyond. She also renovates existing houses, including restoration of historic homes, and has won the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Connecticut HOBI Award for outstanding remodel of a home in the Northeast (in the town of Essex).
Wilson Contreras is one of the hardest working GCs around. No job is too small or too big for him to do and his immediate response to our clients' needs is impressive. Wilson has worked on home renovations in Westport and New Canaan.
As an American citizen from Ecuador, Wilson is keenly aware of the the importance of home. He will work with you in adhering to your budget and takes great pride in his work.
